Steps and recommandations for foreign students

All the Sorbonne Business School programs are open to international students : continuous education, formal education and apprenticeship Every year in Paris, our university business school welcomes nearly 500 international students from all over the world, representing 25% of its Parisian enrolment.

You wish to apply?

To join our programs, please follow the application procedure for the desired program directly with the Sorbonne Business School. All information is available on each of the pages dedicated to our programs.

You do not need to submit your application to Campus France or the cooperation and cultural action department of the French Embassy in your country of residence.

Admission requirements are identical for all students, whatever their nationality and country of residence. You must, however, provide a translation of your diplomas or transcripts if the documents are not in French, and apply for official equivalence at www.france-education-international.fr.

If your application is successful, you will receive a attestation confirming your admission. You can then begin the process with the French Consulate in your country of residence to obtain a visa if necessary.

Please note that special conditions apply to our sandwich programs.

Also, if you're interested in joining a work-study program, it's a good idea to check the eligibility of your application beforehand:

  • Nationals from the European Union, the Swiss Confederation and the European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway)can sign an apprenticeship contract without having to apply for a residence permit and without further formalities. They simply need to provide their employer with a copy of their passport or identity card.
  • Non-EU students wishing to enroll in an apprenticeship program must have a valid residence permit bearing the word "student".
  • The application for an Autorisation Provisoire de Travail is made to the Foreign workers department of the DIRECCTE (Direction Régionale des Entreprises, de la Concurrence, de la Consommation, du Travail et de l'Emploi) on which the apprentice depends (depending on the department of residence). These formalities are the responsibility of the student, and must be completed before the start of the master's program.
  • Newcomers with a student visa can now access apprenticeship or professionalization contracts, but only if they are preparing a Master's degree.

Multi-service and multilingual welcome desks for international students and researchers, Welcome Desk in Paris is a one-stop shop enabling several procedures to be carried out in a single location.

Two Welcome Desk sessions are organized each year at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, located at 17 boulevard Jourdan - 75014 Paris (access: RER B / T3a - Cité universitaire):

  • in autumn (September - November),
  • at the beginning of the calendar year (January - February).
