ERIC LAMARQUE APPOINTED DEAN OF IAE DE PARIS - SORBONNE BUSINESS SCHOOL

The Ministry of Higher Education and Research has appointed Pr. Eric LAMARQUE as Dean of IAE de Paris – Sorbonne Business School, by government decision made on September 16th, 2016, following the Board of Directors’ recommendation.

Pr. Eric LAMARQUE was named as successor to Pr. Jean-Pierre HELFER, who had been Dean of IAE de Paris since 2013.

Finance Professor at IAE de Paris, since November 2013, Pr. Eric LAMARQUE has been the Director of the Master of Finance and a member of IAE de Paris’ Board. He heads the Scientific Committee of the Research group dedicated to financial innovation for French agriculture (FINAGRI Chair), as well as, the Research group on Management and governance of financial co-op (MGCF Chair).


Professor LAMARQUE has appointed the following members to the Executive Committee:

- Dr Elisabeth ALBERTINI, Associate Dean in charge of Financial Affairs

- Pr Géraldine MICHEL, Associate Dean for Curriculum and Academic Affairs

- Pr Stéphane SAUSSIER, Associate Dean in charge External Affairs

- Pr Géraldine SCHMIDT, Associate Dean in charge of Research

- Mrs Dominique RIVIERE, General Secretary

 

Strategic plan for IAE de Paris

Based on a participative approach, Pr. Eric LAMARQUE intends to gather the entire faculty and staff of IAE de Paris to build a strategic plan for the 2017-2020 period.

The focus will be on strengthening the relationship between IAE de Paris and Paris 1 University (Panthéon-Sorbonne), as well as with the Hésam COMUE (Associations of universities and higher education institutions) for research and training.

 

A career dedicated to Higher Education

Doctor in Business Administration from Bordeaux IV University in 1996, Eric LAMARQUE was first in his class of the 2001 competitive examination for Business studies.  Eric LAMARQUE was auditor for IHEDN in 2015-2016.

 

Professor at Bordeaux IV University from 2002 to 2013, Eric LAMARQUE was in charge of the Master in Financial Management, and named by the University President, in charge of special duties, corporate relations from 2006 to 2011.

 

President of the National Council of Universities (CNU) for Business studies from 2011 to 2015; Eric LAMARQUE is also a member of the Supervisory board of the Savings Bank of Aquitaine Poitou Charente.

 

Expert to the general management of financial institutions, Eric LAMARQUE consults in restructuring and development strategy.
