A studious atmosphere in the IAE de Paris library

Paris, the capital of France and the country’s largest city, is one of the world’s leading business and cultural centers with a strong influence on politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion, science, and the arts.

Paris and the Paris region produce more than a quarter of France’s gross domestic product. The head offices of many French companies are to be found there, notably at La Défense – the largest purpose-built business district in Europe. Paris is also home to many international organizations such as UNESCO and the OECD.

Paris is an extremely cosmopolitan city whose rich cultural and social life will enchant any student. IAE de Paris’s prime location in the historical center of Paris ensures you will have easy access to all that Paris has to offer.

Accommodation

As neither IAE de Paris nor University of Paris 1 Sorbonne provides on-campus student accommodation facilities, all students must find their own housing.

- For help with finding accommodation, international students can contact the Foreign Students Housing Office at CROUS (regional organization providing student bursaries and grants, university halls of residence, and student restaurants).

Ph. 01 40 51 37 65 / 66 / 67

- More information about accommodation for foreign students, along with useful contacts, is provided in English by the Paris City Council.

- You will also find detailed housing advice and information in English here.

Public Transport

Paris has a very efficient public transportation system including the metro, buses, and the Vélib’ – a self-service bike rental facility, available 24/7.

Students aged under 26 years old are eligible for a discounted transportation pass which costs 30.90 € per month. Ask for an Imagine R dossier at any metro station.

Associations & Clubs

There is a plethora of sporting, cultural, and study-related clubs and associations open to students enrolled in Parisian universities and graduate schools.
